We asked the Van Hall University to update and upgrade our Remote software.
It will have more functionality and more up-to-date techniques.
Remote II will be available in spring 2008.
In close collaboration with the University of Groningen,
MD will be presenting
STAR
(Stereo Taxic Artificial Rat),
a model and training aid for those who have to do
stereo taxic surgery in the rat.
MD is developing a three-dimensional anatomical model of the rat,
to be used as a
teaching aid for (bio-)medical schools, universities, etc.
The model will be 4 times life size, enabling great detail to be shown,
thus giving the possibility of showing many structures and organs in great
detail.
We
think this teaching aid will be available in the autumn of 2008.
We are writing a new Handbook of Microsurgery on the Laboratory Rat.
This "how-to-do" manual will provide you with all the
information needed to study or practice microsurgery on the laboratory
rat. The handbook will be illustrated with lots of accurate drawings and
photographs.
Many techniques will also be published as video film on
DVD.
We hope the handbook will be available in spring of 2009.
